What does "distance from the center" actually mean?+

Picture the internet as a map. In the middle are the websites everybody links to: Wikipedia, governments, universities, big publishers, the major platforms. Every other website sits some number of clicks from that middle. A site a central website links to is one click away; a site only that site links to is two clicks away. AI systems and the crawlers that feed them treat the sites near the middle as the trusted web. The technical name is harmonic centrality, computed on the public Common Crawl web graph.

Is this the same as Domain Rating or backlinks?+

No. Those count and weigh links. Distance counts clicks. A website with a modest link profile can sit two clicks from the center because of one link from the right place, while a site with thousands of low-quality links can sit at the edge. The two agree at the very top of the web and disagree almost everywhere else. That gap is where premium aged domains work.

Does this guarantee AI will recommend us?+

No, and we will not say it does. Sitting close to the center means AI systems read you in full and treat you as part of the trusted web. It is the strongest structural signal you can control. Being recommended also depends on your content, your product and how you appear in live search. We measure mentions and citations every 30 days so you see exactly what changes.

Is this buying links or placements?+
